Historic Townhomes in the Heart of Downtown

"If what you're looking for is location, charm and a sense of yesterday,
Spanish Oaks Apartments of Sarasota is the obvious choice."

Live in history.

Whether a local move or relocating to Sarasota, you'll find Spanish Oaks nestled in a cozy complex of just 24 two-story apartments. Which provide a unique and quiet setting in the heart of Downtown Sarasota.

Spanish Oaks was built in 1925, the same year as John Ringling’s famed residence, the Ca’d’Zan. The property consists of two buildings fronting a tropical courtyard.

At almost 100 years old, Spanish Oaks still showcases many of the original Mediterranean Revival architectural elements including, rough-textured stucco, hollow clay tile, pecky cypress, and stuccoed columns.

Located in Historic Laurel Park, a quaint area dotted with many historical homes. No other apartment complex in Sarasota can match its combination of exterior design and interior charm. From its archways, wrought iron railings, to cast iron pedestal tubs.

Nostalgic comfort.

Many of our Spanish Oaks tenants have been long term renters. Others, who have lived here and moved away, return to visit Sarasota and stop in to recount their fond memories of living within this historical community.

We appeal to a broad and eclectic group of artists, engineers, bankers, teachers, lawyers, etc. With a common thread - they love Spanish Oaks. The owner and tenants are truly passionate about preserving this piece of history for future generations to enjoy and admire. We are caretakers of one of Sarasota's jewels of the past.

Spanish Oaks has been included on numerous historical tours and mentioned in many articles covering the preservation and history of Sarasota’s historic architecture.
